CASHMERE
Stain removal
Spot-treat stains by first running the stain under a bit of cold water. Then apply some bleach-free stain remover and wash it off with cold water again. Make sure not to rub the stain remover in as this might damage the fabric.
Pilling
Wash cashmere garments separately and inside-out to avoid pilling. If pills do appear, don’t try to remove them with your fingers or shave them off, but use a cashmere comb instead.
Washing and drying
Air, steam, or hand-wash cashmere garments individually in cold water using a mild detergent. Let them soak for a couple of minutes and don’t rub the fabric. To dry them, press the water out of the garment and lay it flat on a clean white towel at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Don’t twist or hang-dry cashmere garments as this might stretch the fabric, and don’t iron them.
Storing
Don’t hang your cashmere garments, as they might stretch. Instead, store them folded on a shelf with a piece of cedarwood nearby to repel moths. Always clean your clothes before storing them.
WOOL
Stain removal
Spot-treat stains by first running the stain under a bit of cold water. Then apply some bleach-free stain remover and wash it off with cold water again. Make sure not to rub the stain remover in as this might damage the fabric.
Pilling
Wash wool garments separately and inside-out to avoid pilling. If pills do appear, don’t try to remove them with your fingers or shave them off, but use a wool comb instead.
Washing and drying
Wool is naturally antibacterial and doesn’t require frequent cleaning. Air, steam, or hand-wash garments individually in cold water using a mild detergent. Let them soak for a couple of minutes and don’t rub the fabric. To dry them, press the water out of the garment and lay it flat on a clean white towel at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Don’t hang, tumble-dry, or iron your garments, as they might stretch or get damaged.
Storing
Don’t hang your knitted garments, as they might stretch. Instead, store them folded on a shelf with a piece of cedarwood nearby to repel moths. Wool jackets, trousers and tailoring can be hung on sturdy structured hangers. Always clean your clothes before storing them.
SILK
Stain removal
Consult a trusted dry cleaner to remove stains on silk.
Washing and drying
Please follow each garment’s care instructions, as some may be hand-washed in cold water, while others require specialist dry cleaning.
Storing
Silk garments can be hung on a hanger, or folded and stored on a shelf. Always clean your clothes before storing them.
COTTON AND SYNTHETICS
Stain removal
Treat stains as soon as possible by spraying some bleach-free stain remover directly on the stain (on the fabric reverse) and let it soak in, then wash according to the instructions on the care label. If the stain is still there after washing, repeat the process. Don’t put the garment in the dryer until the stain is completely gone.
Washing and drying
Most cotton and synthetic garments can be machine-washed at 30° or 40°– simply follow the instructions on the care label and make sure to turn them inside-out. In some cases tumble-drying is possible, but we recommend hang-drying to save natural resources, extend the garment’s lifespan, and avoid wrinkling. It’s possible to iron most cotton and synthetic garments.
Storing
Cotton and synthetic garments can be hung on a hanger or folded and stored on a shelf (the former is recommended for shirts to avoid wrinkling). Keep a piece of cedarwood nearby to repel moths. Always clean your clothes before storing them.
LEATHER AND SHEARLING GARMENTS
Stain removal
Stains on leather and shearling should not be treated at home – we recommend taking them to a specialist dry cleaner instead.
Washing and drying
Leather and shearling pieces should not be washed at home – we recommend taking them to a specialist dry cleaner instead.
Storing
Store your leather and shearling garments on sturdy hangers and inside non-plastic garment covers. Always clean your clothes before storing them – you can also apply a leather conditioner to keep the material hydrated and soft.
DENIM
Stain removal
Spray some stain remover directly on the stain and let it soak in, then wash according to the washing instructions on the care label. If the stain is still there after washing, repeat the process. Don’t put the garment in the dryer until the stain is completely gone.
Washing and drying
Denim garments should be washed as infrequently as possible to let them mold to your body, to make the fibers and dyes last longer, and to save natural resources. We recommend treating stains and airing garments instead.
Denim can be washed in the washing machine on a 30° gentle cycle, with a soft detergent, and with similar colors. Always wash your garments inside-out to preserve the color. Do not put your garments in the dryer – hang-dry them at room temperature.
Storing
Denim garments can be hung from a sturdy hanger. Jeans can be hung from the waistband on clip hangers, slipped through a bar hanger, or simply folded on a shelf. Raw-denim jeans may develop marks over time, so we suggest hanging them whenever possible.
SWIMWEAR
Stain removal
Avoid contact with sunscreen creams and lotions (especially those that contain oils), as they can leave stains.
Spray some stain remover directly on the stain and let it soak in, then wash according to the instructions on the care label. If the stain is still there after washing, repeat the process.
Washing and drying
Swimwear can be washed in the washing machine – simply follow the instructions on the care label.
Always rinse your swimwear in water immediately after wear to avoid damage from salt water or chlorine. Don’t put swimwear in the dryer, just press it to wring out excess water and hang it to dry. Never iron swimwear.
Storing
Store your swimwear in a drawer, away from direct sunlight.
LEATHER ACCESSORIES
Stain removal
Light scuffs and stains on leather accessories can be spot-cleaned with a clean and dry cloth.
Washing and drying
Keep leather accessories such as belts away from water as much as possible. If they do get wet, dab them gently with a clean, dry and absorbent cloth and let them dry at room temperature.
Storing
Store leather accessories such as belts on a hanger rather than inside a drawer – this will reduce the risk of scuffing and scratching.

Cleaning and drying

Storing
Store your leather shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Between uses, slip a foam or wooden shoe tree or scrunched-up paper inside to retain their shape and absorb moisture, and keep them in separate dustbags to avoid scratching.
SUEDE SHOES
